After having left the town, we continue our trek into the center of the Dread Ring. We run across a pair of suspicious types travel the road toward us. Morgran rushes at them with Ash providing support. Fenix Tree Steps behind them to monitor the situation. The pair bolt into the woods and we track them down. They fight to the death without responding to questions. The first perishes in a storm of sword strokes but the second is rendered helpless and questioned. In the end, we learn that they were simply trying to leave the area of the Dread Ring and were avoiding suspicious characters on the road, just like us. Fenix casts a Reincarnation spell on the deceased, heals them, and sends them on their way. At this point, we continue on our way toward the heart of the Dread Ring and our ultimate fate.
