Warning: No Lifeguard On Duty

After resting up, we head back out to kill the witch. On the path that we track the Grendel on, we run into a group of 4 zombies and then 3 zombies in a second attack. After defeating all of the zombies we arrive at an island in the swamp with huge altars and a tunnel that leads to a cavern heading down into the earth. After descending into the earth, we enter a large cavern that is filled with water and conveniently contains an island in the middle. Here we meet Grendel and fight to the death. After fighting Grendel for an extended period, Everise sinks into the water only to return several rounds later naked and carrying his articles of clothing. Lucky got the last blow and killed the beast and we looted the gems from the belt and a ring with the name Grendel on it. The gems from the belt receive a charge when the wielder deals damage to a foe and absorbs a blow from an opponent before losing that charge.
