The Eaters of the Dead?

    The party continues on to the village and learns that anyone that is capable of fighting is pretty much dead and missing. The beings that are involved in the attacks apparently eats the dead (cannibalism). These "Eaters of the Dead" have left some tracks and Boram follows these tracks to a location where a huge bonfire is being prepared. Around this bonfire are scattered about a dozen corpses of these "Eaters of the Dead". Nearby, there is a large cave with a giant boulder next to it. Lyke sneaks over to this cave and explores it finding an Etton inside preparing an ambush. The party makes quick work of this Etton and continue to follow the tracks onward. 

    After tracking them for awhile, we come across a marshy area and are ambushed. The battle is intense and quick. The party is victorious and continues on up the hill. There is a well beaten path that is followed when we finally reach a curve in the path and a guard post manned by about 20 of these "Eaters of the Dead". Here we stay out of site and pause to strategize.
