In The Wake of BloodFire - Part 1

    After returning to the Skygge Compound by Griffon, we are given food and healed in order to help us fully recuperate to full health. After returning to full health, we are attacked by the Svart Helvete viking raiders. Everise is attacked by a stealthy viking which we dispatch fairly quickly and upon his death another viking ambushes Everise. Dispatching the second viking is quick but we are notified by a Skygge member that the entire encampment is under assault. After reaching the surface we realize that there is a great battle taking place. We attack the nearest 14 viking raiders and kill half when weare ambushed by Drow warriors, dropping (levitating drop, and repelling) from an magical airship. The Drow warriors attempt to steal the BloodFire Sword but are stopped by the quick reactions of Everise's fire blast. Dolgrin recovers the sword from the corpse of the Drow and we continue the battle. When it appears that we may win, an Illithid arrives and tosses a magical skull relic (Obsidian Skull) into the remaining combatants and its eyes flame up  into intense proportions, and what appears to be a black shadowy version Grendel, climbs from the flames and attacks the party.

    It is at this point that we paused the session.
