Stolen Trophy

*** What is in store for our heroes after the battle of Grendle and Agla? I thinks is most likely trench/athletes foot, but we are talking beyond that... ***

We begin this evening by cutting off the head of Grendel as proof that we have completed this part of our quest and place it in a canvas sack, held by the paladin. On our way out to find a place to camp, we are ambushed by 2 hobgoblins and 6 goblins which we easily destroyed. We head back into the lair and set up camp on the island in the cave. While I am on the third watch, we are ambushed again by 2 hobgoblins and 6 goblins. One goblin is slain by his companion and one hobgoblin fled, the others are slaughtered by the party. After the battle, we notice that the head of Grendel has been stolen. As we track the goblins who stole it, we track them to the evil wizards home and head back to the village to recover. We learn that the wizard has taken credit for killing Grendel and arranged a meeting with the village elders. We rest for now.
